False Hope?

Is the idea of "false hope" even possible? How can hope be false? It is purely the opposite, for hope can never be false. Hope is the action of belief knowing the outcome may not be what is desirable. Can hope truly exist when the outcome always turns out to be what we think is best? No. Hope is a part of Faith, it arrives when we do not know what the outcome will be. It assumes the unknown, weighs the possibilities, and even with what negative may arise, it still believes Good. Hope sustains those in pain, it allows survival to those labeled dead, it tells the bad it will not win. Hope is a reflection of who God is in a dying and painful world. And sometimes in the very raw moments of existence, it is the only thing left inside someone that will truly never be touched by evil, for it is a gift straight from our Maker's hands.
