Time is not just a Clock

There are lots of ways to measure time
A clock
Hours, minutes, seconds adding toward future moments
Days, months, years, or decades
Anniversaries, birthday's, moments you promised to always remember
But sometimes it is measured by how long you have been apart from someone you love
By days that go on without
It can be measured by waking or sleeping
Or by staring at the ceiling with tears rolling down your face
Time can be a fierce enemy or beloved ally
ready to turn on you when you least expect it
And then there is the immeasurable
the moments that are eternal within ones heart
and the idea that time can never fathom it's depth, touch, or take it away
