Oscillator vent. The vent is one of the last things they can do to help her. This news is not good and we are worried. They explain they must give her Surfactant. They tell us there is a risk of giving her this medicine. Her body may not need it, but she is critical enough that they must take the risk. If her body does not need it, they explain she could code. They give the medicine to her and we all wait.

We are able to help with Micah's CARES. This included: cleaning her eyes,
taking her temperature, and changing her diaper
Cleaning Micah's small unopened eyes.
Covering her incubator with a precious gift from our friends the Baier's.
Covering them helps the babies tiny eyes not be agitated by stimuli in the NICU.
Adding some reminders to us as we begin such a long journey.
Micah wears one of Barat's hats she knitted and sent as soon as she heard about
Micah. She made many!

We are able to "pop the top" down on her isolette once a day and get a peak at how beautiful she is. She still needs help maintaining her temperature, so we cannot visit like this long. We sit by her bedside and pray, read, sing, or just watch our little girl...it is like watching God do His miracle right in front of our eyes.
