Some Visitors

It is getting very hard to not have visitors.  We are able to make some exceptions, as long as people are well and are willing to scrub and make sure they are careful when around Micah.  Her GrandDad and Meemee finally were able to come and visit her!  They have not seen her since she was in the NICU in September.  She has grown so much since then.  We had a special little Christmas celebration with them.  Micah was wearing her new dress she got from Grandma Barb!  She looked so cute that day.  We got many neat gifts, but the best one was Micah's shirt from Grandpa!  We were able to keep it clean enough for his visit and she had fun wearing it!

On Dec 23 Micah got sick.  I had been sick for a couple days before and was so worried she was going to get it and sure enough, she did.  The next week was one of the hardest ones I have ever had.  She was not eating, barely sleeping, coughing, fever and a runny nose.  She had been off of her oxygen for 5 days before that and had to go back on.  I was getting little to no sleep and felt so sick myself.  I don't know how we pulled through, but we did and we are finally on the mend.  We had many people praying for us to get better and it was so comforting to me.

We did have to bring her into the doctors.  She weighed 10 lbs 12 oz that day!  I was so happy!  She is definitely growing.  We are still having to pray for a lot of patience when feeding.  She has been doing better, but I am having to add fortifier to almost ever bottle she has now to maintain her weight.  Keep praying for our precious baby and for this new year to be a new season for us with lots of rejoicing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy 7 Month Birthday Micah Ahava!!!!!

In some ways it is hard to believe and in some ways it is not....but our beautiful Micah Ahava is 7th months old!  Her Auntie Vicki bought her this adorable outfit with stockings and all!!!!  There was only one thing missing....I couldn't wait to dress it up with her picture perfect smile and take some photos!

Today is Micah's 4 th day off of oxygen.  She is still needing it at night, but we are REJOICING that during the day she is SAT-ing very well!!!!  Please continue to pray for healing for her lungs, supernatural protection from any illnesses, and for Peace for her spirit.  I am so thankful for this TRUE blessing!  She brings a smile to my heart a million times a day.  Sometimes I still can't believe she is my gift!  Thank you Jesus!!!!

All SMILES

I am sitting here amazed at God and amazed at the strength He is giving Ahava!  She has been off of oxygen all day and is going strong!  PRAISE GOD!  It will take her being off of oxygen SAT-ing well for 72 hours before we can officially say "good-bye" to the oxygen machine.  We are praying this is it for this season, but even if it is not, we are rejoicing that she is doing well today!

She has been doing so well lately.  She is growing and gaining weight.  She is 10lbs 6.8 oz!!!!!  She smiles SOOOOO much and laughs.  I recorded the cutest video of her laughing, but it is side-ways and I am not sure how to rotate it.  Hopefully soon, I can record something to post.

Her eating is remaining a challenge at times, but she is getting better....or I am just learning how to cope!  LOL!  But if the doctors are amazed at how well she is doing and how she is gaining weight, then I will not worry.  She had her eye exam the other day and HER EYES ARE PERFECT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  In fact this sweet girl can not get enough to see.  She wants to look at everything!!!

She is also a worshipper.  Whenever we sing or play worship, she actually "sings" along.  I have a neat video of her doing this as well.  From the time she was in my womb she has known worship and the presence of the Lord.  In the NICU we looped worship on her MP3 player all the time.  I love that she recognizes the Lord.

She loves colors, books, and her best friend...her pink elephant puppet!  Bath time is the high light of her day!
